SMALL EDITION PRINTMAKING
with Jane Ploughman and Susan Smereka Wednesdays August 28 - September 18 2:30 to 5:30 pm $280 In this workshop you will learn printmaking techniques including linocuts and collagraphs to illustrate a poem (yours or one of your choosing.) These images will be either hand-printed or printed via an etching press. When the prints are completed they will be assembled into an innovative book structure called the Australian Reverse Piano Hinge binding. The workshop is open to all interested; printers, bookmakers, and those curious to experiment with text and images. You will come away with an edition of 4 books measuring approximately 6 x 4". with Susan Smereka Date to be Determined $300 We are ready to help you take the next step in your printmaking practice! Have you been in a rut, are you looking to advance a current project or are you interested in improving your printmaking skills? This workshop will strengthen your knowledge and experience with the mediums of monotype, linocut, drypoint and chine colle. Experimentation with ink modifiers, mark making methods and color theory will help hone your own ideas and projects. If you have work and sketches you are encouraged to bring them. This workshop is geared for people who took Printmaking I with us or have previous printmaking experience. As this workshop is limited to 4 participants you are guaranteed plenty of time with the instructor. All are materials provided. PRINTMAKING I
October $285 Take your first steps into the creative & exciting world of printmaking! You will learn the fundamentals of printmaking: monotype, linoleum cut, chine collé, and mixing color. If you’re a painter you’ll find the use of color mixing in the printing process exciting too! Upon completing Printmaking I attendees will leave with a minimum of 10 prints and will have the foundational knowledge to take our intermediate Printmaking II. This workshop is perfect for people who are curious about printmaking or refreshing their knowledge if they have previous experience. This small interactive workshop guarantees you plenty of time with the instructor. Join us! |
