Upcycle Journal Workshop

This workshop with Susan Smereka provides an opportunity to create a beautiful hand crafted journal. The process begins with disassembling an old hardcover book while learning the intricacies of how books are put together. Then you will rebuild the signatures with pages of the original book, pages from other books and blank journal pages. With waxed linen thread you will be guided through a step by step process of binding your new journal together. No experience necessary. This journal makes a great gift and the workshop itself is a gift.

All supplies provided. You can bring your own ruler, bone folder, scissors, utility knife, self-healing cutting mat, awl, and pencil. $40
