This intermediate monotype workshop will provide a space and structure for artists to explore and invest in expanding their creative practice. Expect to create a minimum of 10 prints as you challenge yourself through experimentation and working in a series. You will learn how to work with multiple plates and how to effectively register them. Experimentation will include areas of ink modifiers, composition and color. Participants are encouraged to bring ideas and concepts that they are currently working on to develop and shift them through the media and techniques (not required).
Some previous experience in printmaking is essential for this class. If you are new to printmaking you are strongly encouraged to take my Printmaking 1 class first. Spend this fun weekend with us and leave more confident in your artistic journey. This workshop has a maximum of 3 people so there is ample time to work with the instructor.
